Your dedicated reverse mortgage professional will explain all the costs relating to your loan. We want to ensure you feel totally comfortable about the reverse mortgage process and the costs involved. There are some costs that accrue on your reverse mortgage, almost all of these are paid when you sell or leave your home. The fees that will be added to the amount you owe include an origination fee, closing costs, mortgage insurance premium, and servicing fees. However, the only cost that must be covered 'out of pocket' is the appraisal, which typically ranges from $350-$450. All other costs are paid from the loan proceeds at the time of closing.
