What is the timeline and requirements I have to follow if I want to cancel a reverse mortgage?

I am considering a reverse mortgage, but if for some reason I am unable to follow through with it, how long do I have to cancel it? What are the requirements and steps I would have to take to do so?

You can halt proceedings any time before you sign the final paperwork, in fact you even have up to three days after signing the final documents to cancel your reverse mortgage without penalty.
